Calcined Bauxite

Calcined Bauxite

Calcined Bauxite is produced by sintered high-alumina bauxite in rotary at high temperatures. This process of calcining (heating) bauxite in kilns removes moisture and gives Calcined Bauxite its high alumina content and refractoriness, low iron, and grain hardness and toughness. Its thermal stability, high mechanical strength and resistance to molten slags make Calcined Bauxite an ideal raw material in the production of many refractory, abrasive and specialty product applications.

Becens would supply different kinds of Kilns: Shaft Bauxite, Rotary Bauxite, Round Bauxite. And different Al2O3 content from 50%-90%.

Application

⑴Aluminum smelting industry. For national defense, aviation, automobiles, electrical appliances, chemicals, daily necessities, etc.

⑵ precision casting. Applicable to military, aerospace, communications, instrumentation, machinery and medical equipment and other departments.

⑶ used for refractory products. The refractoriness of high alumina bauxite clinker is as high as 1780℃, with strong chemical stability and good physical properties.

⑷ aluminum silicate refractory fiber. It has the advantages of light weight, high temperature resistance, good thermal stability, low thermal conductivity, small heat capacity, and resistance to mechanical vibration. Used in steel, non-ferrous metallurgy, electronics, and other industries.

The high-alumina clinker is put into a high-temperature electric arc furnace with a melting temperature of about 2000-2200 ° C, and after high-temperature melting, high-pressure high-speed air or steam injection, and cooling, it becomes white "cotton" - aluminum silicate refractory fiber. It can be pressed into fiber blanket, board or woven into cloth to replace refractory bricks lining high temperature furnaces in smelting, chemical, glass and other industries. Firefighters can make clothes from fire-resistant fiber cloth.

⑹ Various compounds that can be used to manufacture aluminum in the manufacture of bauxite cement, abrasive materials, ceramic industry and chemical industry
